these were found near Petrified Forest in Arizona. 200 were found. A friend was fortunate enough to get most of them. They have been treated with Hxtal first. I think these blow away opal clams. This clam bed is the nicest I have ever seen. check out all them bandings. I think this may have the most out of any of the clams this color is 'rare' for the clam location

Super nice! I've never seen agate in a clam like that before. Have to ask ... what is "Hxtal" ?
Darryl.

Super nice! I've never seen agate in a clam like that before. Have to ask ... what is "Hxtal" ? Darryl. it is a popular clear sealer that folks use.

here is a nice video that was made with close up view also. No interests in them when I posted this video. I have around 10 of them total.http://forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/65858/super-agatized-clams-arizona-deposit

Just WoW! Haven't seen agatized clams either and they are spectacular!! Interesting at the amount of clams that were found at the location. Thanks for showing your amazing collection to us, bhiatt! Are they treated with Hxtal so they may be polished? Spotted some pretty gem bone and fire agates in the background of your pics.

other than the first two clam photos, all of the close up photos were taken by a friend. I don't keep my finger nails that long.
The clams are treated with Hxtal, yes.

Wait, what?! Those are not your long and manicured fingernails, bhiatt? Just kidding with you. How many, out of 200 clams, did your friend get?

I think around 150 of them. Mark Anderson is the one who has them and took these photos. He breaks them out every once in a blue moon and works a few at a time. He, his wife and her mom stay busy with his jewelry making orders.
