Hello everyone, Long time listener, first time caller. I've always been interested in rocks, crystals and geology ever since I was a kid. I've worked a couple of years as a large-scale stone sculptor and continue to collect interesting specimens, here and abroad. Some of you may know me as bcrockhound's girlfriend. Anyone who didn't get themselves a nice piece of Dallasite or Flowerstone before Stew left for cold, cold Yellowknife can obtain some from me. I've been trained by the best, folks. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome fellow rock hound and talk radio fan (I would suspect ). It's great that we keep getting more and more ladies posting here. Would love to see some pictures of your sculptures! Can't post too many pictures here for us. Ann from Tennessee

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
The sculpting I did was on contract for another artist, so nothing I'd be proud to show anyone, sadly.
What were the Montana goodies that got sent?

Any rocks touched by ore are much more valuable than ones my fumbly fingers handled. Thank you all for the warm welcome! The sculpting I did was on contract for another artist, so nothing I'd be proud to show anyone, sadly. What were the Montana goodies that got sent? The rough opal, petrified wood, Montana agates, wild horse jasper, thunderstorm jasper. He was too generous.

Welcome to the forum bcrockhound's girlfriend - my mother taught me to never call a woman ore. Guess you're the smarter-half, staying down in Vancouver where being eaten by a polar bear isn't a daily concern. Couldn't you have sat on Stew or hid his keys? Or beat him with a rolling pin, or ... Anyway, welcome! now, about what to call ya...

Ha, captbob, you can call me Liane. There's no stopping Stew when he wants to do something, he likes gathering stones but not moss. He's more than cool now, jamesp, he's really really cold!

Ha ha Stew, freeze man, freeze. That made my day. Welcome to the forum from Georgia, another location on that boy's bucket list to visit. Send him down to me and let me process him, he'll be running back to Vancouver in tizzy.

slight hijack - Hey Stew, the box of Dallasite arrived today. If my lady mail carrier didn't hate me already, I'm pretty sure she does now! That was one stuffed full large FRB. Thank you, I appreciate it and it was a box of good 'uns too. Outta keep me busy until it snows here in St. Pete (it happens - 1989 was the last one I recall). My Dallasite tumble run is still on 500 grit, but hopefully will be finished this month. Liane - shouldn't you be out restocking? There's gonna be a run on Dallasite once I post pictures of my tumbles.

Glad to hear your boxes arrived and you're happy with the contents. I know Stew spent many hours picking out only the best pieces. captbob, never fear, I have a fully equipped dog team to help transport and will get to work soon. I do have a lot of nice pieces already. Ha, jamesp!
