Nice material, makes the color of our Oregon stuff a little blah.

Flashy casts Brad. There is finger coral that looks similar except it is black and white and full of botryoids.

this one was worked on by the legendary Larry Walker. You can see where it was glued back together and then he painted the glue to match the limb cast and also the matrix. Holy smokes, that's the most beautiful limb cast I've ever seen, bhiatt. I like the hollow one, too.

that is what I enjoy the most about the macro photos. You get to see what it hard for your eyes to pick up. Tom Shearer took that photo a while back. A friend of mine reworked the face on it and now it actually has less of the feathering(the cloudiness around the edge) that show in the photo. He does great work.
As you can tell by my realistic photo compared to the glamour shot where the colors are saturated, mostly in the matrix though. All the detail is still there.

I was watching the redwood DVD I showed a photo of on here and this piece first, with the fancy photo, is in the video. Includes a few macro snapshots. Didn't know until last night. Pretty cool. A friend of mine got the piece from Larry Walker who is one of the main features of the DVD. He all took the photos. Different photo than mine though. That one Tom Shearer did.
