:)Hello everyone. I have a question. I know quite a few of you have websites and website links in our group. Once in a while I see links and click on them [is that safe?]. My question is: Is there a way to check the RTH site to see who has wesites and links. Maybe we could start a list, or has that been done? Well anyway, if anyone knows, let me know. Take care all, Ed M.

Anyone want a chat about SEO and the net - give me a shout in this thread. I'll be happy to start an off rock topic one.
Fire away - especially website owners.

LOL .... aw Mark, don't scare the poor guy. ;D Ed, if you see a link in a member's post, I'm sure you can feel safe about clicking on them. I have mine site banner, I know stoner does too, as well as several others. And I'm sure you won't catch anything, just be sure to wear your tinfoil hat.
Ok Mark, have at it. Is there really such a thing as SEO anymore? I know they used to say the more links you have to your website, the better you'll do in the search engines but I just don't know anymore.

Mr. AD Mark, What do you mean by: Dont click on hyperlinks on this forum - you may catch Martian Eathodrolitis. ??
If you go to the 'members' link up top, and find a member who has a website link, is that safe or not?
I have clicked on members' websites at the bottom of their posts, and have had no problem, so far.
Also RMAO, Tony, how DID you get your resident alien to sit still for the tin hat?

Cher - yes there is SEO. We have whitehatters and blackhatters.
First up - can I ask - why dont you know anymore - do you have some examples?
I can go on for months about this - but if directed better I can be more to the point.
Links still count - but not in terms of quantity - there a penalties for getting links too fast for example.
Have you got an example of some SEO youve maybe stabbed at but it hasnt worked?

I have clicked on many website links from members here and have not had a problem at all. Of course I cover my laptop with aluminum foil first, just in case. Mine is attached to my signature below. Have fun! Tonja
