Nice one! I've always wondered where the orbicular material originated way back when. Found peanut agate on Woodward and several other types over Marfa way but I've never heard of folks finding the source deposit for the orbs/poppies. Had only seen a couple of examples until the kiddoes starting bringing in the Rio buckets from their ranch. Also, except for Luna agate, I've never seen that kind of orby agate from Mexico either. Quite a mystery.....Mel

Quite a mystery.....Mel That agate has constant sized orbs in it. Similar to hornseeker's specimen. Spot in the center of the orb. I see it well.

seeing spots before my eyes! busy little devil, isn't it? love the mix of colors, there's a lot of good stuff going on there. similar pattern to hornseekers, way different material? at least at first glance. I think it would be a great show if one could watch as rocks like this were formed. fascinating.

Quite a mystery.....Mel There is a fair amount of orb agate on the walker ranch and also down towards shafter/presidio but all i have seen looks a bit different and the orbs are larger than the rio stuff...
