Howdy folks, Have had several folks waiting in line for this but they have not gotten back to me in awhile and my piles are getting too big so I figured I'd post some more Rio Grande tumbling material for sale. The kids are bringing loads like once a week now so I have quite a lot of material in all sizes. $1.50 per pound for tumbling stuff and I prefer doing full medium flat raters because I'm footing the postage for the pebblepups and it's just not worthwhile doing small amounts. I have a nice selection of mainly fine moss agate nodules and I have two sorted tumbling piles. The smaller material is about 1-2" and can go straight into the tumbler. The larger pile is suitable for small trim saws or busting up to smaller tumbler sizes and runs mainly 2-3". If you have a trim saw you can get some nice cabs from the larger size. Here's a pic of about 25 pounds of the smaller tumbler stuff. Larger is very similar except for size. I have about 100 plus pounds of the larger and about 50-60 pounds of the small stuff on hand right now. Also have a bunch of real nice nodules in the 2-4" range and even larger sizes if you desire cutters, at $2.50 per pound. Pm me if interested and thanks....Mel

The Pups are going to be able to buy new cars before they're old enough to drive and you're footing the postage? Ya need to school 'em on the costs of running a business ya ol softie!!! or have 'em buy YOU a new car PS - I'll be back for more once it warms up enough to get out in my garage and play.

I got a box of Rio's from Mel last week. Nice solid material. Broke up a little and saving rest for "cutting season". If you like Agates you'll like these.

Bob, I felt bad that they were wanting me to take a few interesting agates from each pile to cut, so I pay for the rock I appropriate for my own use by paying their postage for them. Also, I save my end cuts and heels now so I can sell me a box of them now and then and help defray the postage costs. Overall though, these are two great kids and their parents are great friends, so I love helping them out. As they get older, I hope to school them on the grading of agate and use of E-Bay so they can take the business away from me and probably make more money too *L*. I think some of the stuff they are finding would bring really good prices in an auction environment but I hate messing with E-Bay myself. Like I told them, they'd make way better money than with something like the paper route I had as a kid, and rocks are way more fun.....Mel

I wish I knew how to tumble faster. I seem to acquire rocks much faster than I polish them. This is super tempting though. I hope all the new tumblers on this realize what a great deal this is.

Glad you like them Scott. I've got a batch running myself. Heading for final polish on Saturday. Really looks to be a nice batch and as you've mentioned, colors and patterns all over the place.....Mel
