For our PNW members here's the Mt Hood Rock Club SOS (save our shop) lapidary sale. It will be held on Sat., Feb 21 from 10 AM to 5PM at the site of our lapidary shop on Milwaukie Ave in SE Portland OR. Digging through the rough in buckets with rocks wrapped in newspapers from the 50's-70's has been so droolworthy. Large polished dryhead agates, lots of very nice carnelian, Biggs worth writing home about and we're about a quarter of the way through it. We will have a 24 inch Magnum Hydro slab saw and a 16 inch home made saw as well, and possibly other equipment too. Sorry but all sales at this sale will be cash on site.

Some members came in and priced it today. Tomorrow we rock, I will be bringing some home too, some of this is unobtanium nowadays.

sorry roy I didn't know it was you or I would have got a couple to pass on to you. I lost my address book when I switched to the smart phone.
They must have been priced ok because they all went away. I missed out on a bunch of stuff when someone opened the big bay doors and let the crowds in early when it was supposed to be shopping time for us who set it up. Oh well, our lap shop is back in the black and then some, we get to keep it!
