Top notch tumbles Chuck. That is some beautiful agate. That would be close to home agate which makes it special. I have seen lifetime collections that do not compare.

I've heard that Lakers are getting harder and harder to find. So seam to defy that.

just spectacular! number 26 far left, 37 far lower right are brothers from the same mother, and my favorites, but #38 is a standout, forts in forts of forts all with that rare wavy almost lace look- just a visually overwhelming treat on a cold northern day. Not much can beat a bag of polished Lakers for huge color and glossy impact. You're the champ! You continually outdo yourself. I'll be watching for the 'rest of the story'.

You've been quiet lately. I see you haven't been sitting around doing nothing. Those are incredible. I'm pretty sure the bottom agate in picture 4 came in on a glacier from iant's neck of the woods. I'm pretty sure the glaciers came from Scotland, right?

I'm with tkvancil on #48, and #11 looks a LOT like some of the Yangtze stuff I've tumbled - incredible shine on the whole batch!!

Those are great tumbles do you just use a rotary or do you finish in a vibe? Either way those are incredable.

Those are great tumbles do you just use a rotary or do you finish in a vibe? Either way those are incredable. roughed in the rotary for months then hand ground on an 80 grit diamond wheel do remove remaining imperfections then back in the rotary 46/70 grit to remove the grinder marks. All final steps after that done in a vibe tumbler. A whole lot of work goes into getting smooth Lakers. Chuck

I've heard that Lakers are getting harder and harder to find. So seam to defy that. Darryl. They are very hard to find in Michigan. A bit easier in the gravel pits of Minnesota but still getting very expensive. some of these were as much as $25 per pound as rough stones and I am sure a ground off at least 30% of that before they were done. I sell most of my tumbles but these were a treat for myself. Chuck

Wow! I'd never be able to finish the cleanout. I'd be running back and forth to the house showing each one of the beauties. Tom

How many eBay lots is that? I went on a bit of a Ebay bender and got about 30 pounds in over a dozen separate auctions. I worked pretty hard on my rock stuff all of last year so these were my year end BONUS. Chuck
