These are a few more nodule halves collected from the beaches last summer. These have been sliced and coated with a lacquer finish. Almost flame agate. Almost flame in blue agate. Quartz center in agate rind. Almost flame in blue agate. The blue bands in the next two are hyalite opal and fluoresce bright green under SW ultraviolet light. However, the lacquer has highly effective UV inhibitors which put an end to that effect. Lesson learned … don’t coat fluorescent rocks. Darryl.
