The Hauser beds aren't that far from home, but a few weeks ago was our first trip out there. Here's a handful of our findings: (photos are fresh cut and wet) If any of the experts here could tell me anything about the red, orange, and yellow in this last little guy, I would love to know more.

Very cool! If I could find those close to home, I'd be there every weekend.

those are beautiful! The matrix adds to the beauty, too, so colorful- those are not your every day eggs- thanks for the show!

That's an interesting read. I've read about the history and discovery of the beds before, but I enjoyed reading about the author's expedition. Thanks for the link.

Had a chance to chat with a guy from the local gem and mineral society. Best we can figure, we were at the Cinnamon Beds, specifically.

There are some nice eggs there. I hope to make it out to Hauser one of these days.

Hey that first one is a beauty! I found a little broken piece of one of those candy striped ones in a ravine below the beds one trip. I like the one with the jasper too. Sometimes those eggs have orby jasper that looks just like Bruneau. Seems like 90% of the Hausers I've cut look like that third example of yours.....Mel
