Back when we were dating, Candy and flowers were fine.
Now, diabetics can't have sweets, and they get tired of eating roses, so . . .

Hmmm.........your asking this question on a rock forum. I think the answer is simple. Make her some jewelry. Or get a heart from Ed. He's the best at that craft here.

Can you treat her to something like this?
She will always remember the feast. A traditional meal.

When I go to rock shows,I buy my wife gems and jewelry.........I also write her letters and send them to her too...(that is her favorite)..Check out poetry..Thumbs up If you can cook, than prepare a great meal she can eat......It's always the simple things your spouse likes..

Back when we were dating, Candy and flowers were fine. Now, diabetics can't have sweets, and they get tired of eating roses, so . . . It all depends on what makes her feel loved. For some of us women it is gifts for others it is quality time or acts of service. Once you know what makes her tick you are 90% of the way there. No point in cooking a meal if service isn't her thing. For the most part us women are more complicated in the 'feeling loved' department than you men.

Do you have a special rock or cab she holds dear? You can cab it or I can and mount it in Sterling as a ring, pendant or cuff. Can even trade the work for rocks:-)

Mine likes me to go away LOL. She also likes attention. Everyone likes attention. Listen, she will let you know. But don't tread on selective listening. A megaphone is a good investment. A large and obvious one. Selective listening is a dangerous art form. Maybe a myth, maybe it can be mastered in another life. Best to listen, you can't fool them. They may allow it, but repercussions will follow.

Mine still raves about the hot chocolate I made her when she was sick. Mostly about the butter milk I used to make it extra sweet that really didn't. She asked what I put in and the legend was born. How was I to know it was sour hot chocolate ? That being said it was the effort and time spent rather than the intended comfort.
