Howdy folks, the big ole poppy is already gone, sold to a fellow poppy nut but here's a couple of pics I took to show what it looks like. It's almost 6 pounds and 6 1/2 by 5 by 3", by far the largest Rio poppy I've ever seen. Mostly shows just a patina like most Rios do but you can get a look at the pattern in a couple of weathered spots. Gotta say, it hurt not keeping this one for myself ( everyone knows how much I love the orbs and poppies) but my little 10 inch saw can only handle smaller stones Anyway, couple of pcs to drool over...Mel   |

oh, that's a beauty. At least if you had to give it up you got something in return. Will you be able to view slabs from it when the new owner cuts it? I'm sure we'd all like to see that!

Snowmom, The new owner does not always cut his specimens. I believe he's thinking of a huge tumbler *L*. Gotta say, I really want to see it polished no matter how he does it. Got me a small ten inch sized saw piece from the same lot that I will cut for myself. Sure hope it's a pretty one. Hated to give the big'un up but it's another chunk of money for the pebblepups' college fund....Mel
