This started off as a saw scrap and got tossed in the tumbler with all my other cabbing scraps. When the batch was done I came across this one and thought hey I can make a little money off that scrap if I could manage to cut a groove in something that small. It sure seemed like a great plan till my wife seen it and quickly called DIBS. This thing is as light as a feather. no wheels used at all just the tumbler and groove cutter And here's a little tease of what else I got started on last night. should be a fun weekend cabbing and wrapping. Thanks for looking Chuck

That is quite nice looking. And I just love your bail binding. For some reason it looks different, like maybe bigger wire, but somehow more decorative than a 'normal' one.

Thanks Kathy- It might be an optical illusion. I use the exact same gauge of wire for all of my groove wraps. Keep in mind that this piece is only 5/8" tall and 1/2" wide so those photos are extreme closeups. Here is the exact same wire and wrap on a larger cabochon. Chuck

Tiny but a really great cab. Ford it is tough to get a good angle when sawing. I think you nailed that one way back when you sawed the slab Chuck. of course I love what a Loto can do with tumble cabs. You should start putting in a slab of picture jasper with each batch. I can squeeze a 2 1/4 square or longer slab in mine and polish it. I just slab it and put it in.

She will not wear anything that has much weight to it so most of my rock pendants don't work for her. The penny in the photo weighs more than the pendant does. Chuck

Wow, nice scrap!!! I see why your wife nabbed it real quick! The other pieces don't look so shabby either.

That is soooo cute, Chuck! Your wife has a great eye. Yeah, lots of women (and men) prefer them smaller. I try to get some small ones done, too. But, boy, those big cabs really call me.

Chuck, do you know where any rough fordite can be purchased, besides EBAY? I'm looking for a pound or more. Those are nice pieces, nice work with the little bit you had to work with.
