Self collected Rio's that are odd. Tumbling a big load of Rio weird ones to challenge the ID folks Looks like hematite in the glare at top Biege plumes ?? This one common in a field on Woodward Ranch:

I never cease to be amazed at all the different agate types from the Rio grande gravels. Awesome cabs...Mel

Very cool! How different one from the other! So varied! We find quite a bit of stuff that exact shade of purple (first photo) and I have learned to associate it with hematite as well. The second one has just a touch of it too, but what a difference, with the plumes. Flow lines in the 3rd and deep yellow color such a huge contrast to the first 2. interesting
