This was my first time using gold filled wire. I have been avoiding it due to the cost but gold prices are lower right now and I had a customer that requested this one so I went for it. Using gold on groove wraps is pretty affordable but doing a full wrap would still be pricey. Regency rose plume agate The same customer ordered the full wrap I did in silver too so here is a picture side by side for comparison of gold vs silver on the same type of stone being my first time using gold I test wrapped it in copper and sent a photo to make sure the customer liked the swirl in front. Thanks for looking Chuck

I like it better in the copper , it blends better with the colors in the stone. But great job regardless.

You done good. The wrap definitely didn't take away from the stone. I hurt my eyeballs when I tore them away from that regency rose to look at the wrap.

OMG, the stone with that gold wire is amazing! I love the look of it! Your work always looks good. What kind of wire do you use as your 'everyday' wire? Because all of your pendants look really good, the wire always looks good, not like the parawire I use (although the silver parawire actually looks pretty nice).

All of my silver wraps are done in solid .925 sterling from riogrande. The gold filled was nice to work with and reacted much like the solid silver. Gold and silver prices are crazy low right now so both are much more affordable for the hobbyist to use. Chuck
