I was here years ago before health problems came along. I bought a box of Jockey Agate from Doughboy back in 2008/2009 thereabouts thinking my husband and I would get into cabbing. He now has Parkinsons and cabbing is out of the question. I listed the box I got from doughboy on ebay, if any of you are interested. I also got a box of Picasso marble from him that he recommended for tumbling. It is also listed. I have them priced at what I paid for them back then so I think that is reasonable - nice to see y'all again. Theresa Jockey agate ebay

Hi tclare, some folks on this board are going to give you a ration of sh*t for trying to sell on your very first post so let me be the first to say welcome. In fairness we do get a bunch of jackasses who sign up just to sell stuff and end up ripping people off and making fools of themselves. We like people to post around a little bit and let people get a feel for you before jumping in and trying to sell - if this appeals to you please stick around and introduce yourself and maybe show off some of your nice rock pictures - that's always popular.
Having said all of that I'm intrigued by your Jockey agate - a good place to start might be to tell us a little more about it - where's it from?

My apologies, sincerely. I will go post more I promise. I was on here years ago, learned to wire wrap from Biker Randys tutorial. I cant remember my log in. The Jockey agate is what Doughboy on ebay sold, I bought it from him. I believe it is called Jockey agate because its from Jockey county. I dont know much more than that. I will be happy to post more pics here if you like. Most of what I do these days when my hubby has good days is bead embrodiery. I will post pics tomorrow.

No worries Teresa welcome back - and my sympathies for you and your husband - that can't be easy for either of you.
I personally would love to see more photos just because I googled "Jockey agate" and "Jockey county agate" didn't come up with any responses so now my curiously is perked up haha. What state is that in?

Doughboy is based in Utah and sells a lot of Utah material under his own trade names. Jockey agate looks a lot like southern utah moss and jasper.

Makes sense it is his own material. He just had it labeled as Jockeys agate, I just thought the colors were kewl and being a newbie, I noticed y'all seemed to think agate cut and cabbed easier than most materials so I wanted to start with it. I will take more pics and post here and on ebay tomorrow. My indoor lighting sucks - so daylight is a must. I remembered from years back when I was on here, someone had wanted some of Doughboys material , this and bacon opal ( I wish I had lucked up on that bacon opal , I have some cabs of the material and it is just wow! ) , I would love for someone here to get it because then I would get to see what beauties it makes I wish we could have been able to get into cutting and cabbing, we both would have enjoyed that so much. No the parkinsons isn't easy for either but hey it could always be worse, we are doing ok. Hubby just isn't allowed to operate machinery or be around machinery , chemicals, and the like anymore. Not real safe to be playing with sharp objects

This is the easiest way I think to do this. I just took pics of each, dry and wet, and loaded them up to an album on photobucket. 33 pics was too many to post individually here. The colors are so nice. I wish we would have been able to cut and cab these, man oh man.......*sighs* dang it Jockey Agate

It looked nice. Doughboy is an excellent seller on ebay. He has been selling for years. Several here had bought from him. I just got lucky with this lot of Jockey agate. It so happened when it was on auction, there was a box of Fantasia Jasper gathering everyone's interest so I was able to slide in and snatch lol! I love the blues in the smaller rock in that batch. I always thought that piece would make a pretty cab or 3.
