This is a nice 4 inch diameter piece we found two years ago at Hampton Butte. It is not often that one can find something this nice there anymore.

The green in your Hampton Butte pet wood is gorgeous, woodman. Rare stuff! Thank you for posting them.

That is a real nice cab! I am not saying it is not Hampton Butte, but to me it looks more like Maury Mountain moss agate, which as a crow flies is not very far away. When my slow picture upload to bucket I will post a picture. All of the moss agate that I have seen from Hampton Butte are in the form of limb casts. In the picture that I will post you an see a frangmet of wood left in it. There is a wide variety of material from Hampton Butte, a lot of it requires getting lucky to find it. this piece is 7 iches wide,

Thanks woodman. Okay, Maury Mt. People get confused. Especially with Oregon, since there is so much nice stuff. I'll leave Oregon rock IDs to the Oregonians, not the Sacramentans. That is a very nice piece you posted above, btw.
