I finally got a chance to play with the Genie for more than an hour over the weekend. Here are a few that I did. I have a couple of others with crooked girdles and I will post those when I fix them. Thanks, Andrea Not sure what this is but I bought it at a rock shop. It was nice to work with and in person I can clearly see the squiggly light bulb reflection but it didn't show up very well in the picture. same one I found this one in Woodruff, AZ. Not sure what it is. It needs more work but I am going to leave it. It's getting thin and I don't want it to break because I really like the pattern when it's backlit. The pits aren't so noticeable in normal light. This one is my favorite. I think I found it in Woodruff not positive though. It's some sort of wood. It started out being shield shaped but then it broke, so then it was going to be an oval, and it broke again so now it's kind of toilet seat shaped…lol. I'm glad I have more of it so I can try again. The rough Shield shape it was supposed to be The oval Final piece…the cracks are smooth.

Very pretty cabs and enjoyed seeing some of the materials you found turned into beauties. I love your 'toilet lid-shaped' pet wood. Are you enjoying your Genie, meviva?

gingerkid Yes, I am enjoying the Genie but it seems I never can find the time to practice. I just have to set aside an hour or two each day. I have so may nice rocks that I want to work on but I want more practice before I start on them. Thanks, Andrea

Lovely work... the toilet seat cab is so beautiful! (gosh that sounds terrible LOL!) I know what you mean about finding the time to cab. It's always a challenge for me, too. I very often find myself saying, "I'd rather be cabbing."
