Looks good to me too Jimi! Good stuff there.
If you're thinking differently, you need to consider the size of the pieces. It's pretty easy to find small pieces with more flash, but to get stuff that large with that amount of surface color is a win any day. Don't forget there is more flash/color inside should you decide to cut some of them up. A couple of those I wouldn't even consider cutting because they would make such good display specimens.
Mind sharing where you got these rocks? I'd be interested in getting some that nice.

#1, #3 and #4 are good, not crazy about the others. Let me guess, this is one of those AAA grade labradorite parcels from Madagascar minerals. Lab is one of those stones that I'd just assume buy a prefab cab than bother with the rough and cabbing. pick and choose your cabs from a pile of finished work and save the rough purchases for something else.

if your unhappy you can send it to me Shoulda seen that one coming! #1, #3 and #4 are good, not crazy about the others. There are only 4 rocks shown unless I'm reading this wrong. Still thinking they are pretty nice for the size.

Still, labradorite is a crapshoot IMO, but I may be biased; never had much luck with it no matter how nice the rough.

it is as advertised. should get good slabs if you orient well. feldspars do like to fracture along planes. you got to follow the flash, but otherwise try not to cut across plane at shallow angle

I'm not an expert on that material and will admit I have a terrible time orienting that stuff but that rough looks pretty nice to me.....Mel

No. I'd be even more upset if I paid super high premiums for what I received. It came from RR at $5/lb. currently cutting the smaller rock lightly to see what I can bring out.

Thanks. 5 bucks a pound seems like a good deal in my opinion.

Richardson's ranch is a fail when it comes to shipping. They refuse to use FRB. So customers overpay freight because they won't go to town once a week.
