Thanks, and I am currently going to use Covington Kool Lube water soluble stuff, so using the pump to be on the safe side.

Having the top view window is great. As I recall you have a side view as well. I'm going to guess you may want a bit of a blade shield to reduce (not eliminate) the coolant slung against that top window. My side window catches a lot of oil and usually it washes the sludge off or drains away enough that I have adequate visibility for my needs, but it all depends on volume, force, and how dirty the coolant gets. One advantage of using a pump will be that you can deliver the coolant onto the blade surface when its moving down, and reduce the amounts flung upward. There are some threads on placement of the coolant delivery and how it affects misting, slinging, and visibility issues. I want to see it work well for you. Congratulations again. Tom

The gap in the side was where I put just aluminum to try to get that little extra space where the plywood would be, so maybe just got 1/2" of extra space out of that lol. Ill need to mess around with some of the extra aluminum strips and the pump tomorrow if some caulk is dry enough.

I see its been a few weeks since you've updated this thread. Have you completed and tested the saw? I'm curious how the rollers on the vice worked out as I'd like to copy the design for my own build.
thanks!

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about this all day @ work. Finally thought of skateboard bearings, then remembered there's some Rollerblades my daughters outgrew, so I'm going to try the bearings out of the rollerblade wheels.

Test run #1 for the saw, drive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27TUtWblJnMzdsWjg. Cut a small piece off some labradorite, so I guess the next thing to do is testing cutting some harder stuff before switching the concrete blade with the better one. And what I did for the weight in the back is put water in a milk jug, seems to work fine. Then I will need to find out how well the polishing/grinding wheel can do with flat stuff.

I just ended up just going with buying a Covington 10" vibrating lap, didn't know what disk to get if I was going to make a flat lap. I'm not sure if I posted pictures of the saw yet, so here they are, drive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27dlRTZHc4LVF1UW8drive.google.com/open?id=0B0gO2dw2ik27Z2RLY1c2aTNfeHMHow I have it set up is there is a switch for the light on the lid, a safety switch for the motor on the right and the auto shut off switch on the front that the safety switch plugs into. Then one of the fishing line is for the auto shut off then the other goes to a handle so it is easy to pull the feed back. The light on the inside is a LED fog light
