Looks like a spray bottle or a light rain would come in handy to separate the good from millions of others. It also looks like there are a couple of "Broll" bucket carriers making collection a little easier. Do you have to dig, or is there enough surface material to collect?

Lots of Montana Moss to be found. We sometimes even get a few pieces of Dryhead Agate.

The best river to hound in Montana,in my opinion!!!! When I lived in Roundup,we hit the Yellowstone in the Billings and Laurel areas................My nephew hunts it twice a week at least-so I get a box every year or so... What did you find one that trip?

We found lots of Montana Agate / Jaspers / Epidote / Pet Wood . My grand daughter who was with us likes to look for Buffalo Teeth. ( Found 3). This is one our favorite spots to go to. This is by Crane Montana. Never disappointed.
We also go to Terry as well.

I've hounded in that area too. I had the best luck for agates in Glendive and north of there at Intake fishing area. I found two buffalo teeth although I gave one to a little boy who was looking for rocks with his parents. He was thrilled.

When I was there a few years ago there was a campsite that had not been touched for at least a week. Everything was left behind. Eventually I called a friend back home who works for the county sheriff and had him find me the number to the local cops. They came and figured the idiot must have tried it. The game warden who came with the 5 other cops said that the 7 sisters spot was particularly bad for killing people.
