As you can see I doubled up the discs on the dremel.
I did use the wore out groover bit on the Gryphon to start a faint imprint. Something to follow.
(The Gryphon makes a good quick straight groove).
But being that the bit as very little grit—
it just doesn’t penetrate the stone.

Then I just zippittey doo dahed the rest of the groove with the dremel.
I held the stones in the vice.

The flats came out well. Can’t see much sunlight through the heart halves when held together.
Plus they get that sticky magnetic feel when slightly damped and rubbed together.
I like that. It will be a good solid joint.

So its ready to be epoxied together. The sides are fairly flat.
Good enough to lay flat for the epoxing.

The other side -I think-is going to be the front of the heart.
It mostly all red. No quartz like the back side.
Plus it as a spider web pattern that I’m trying align.
