I made a few more sculpted pieces. I'll probably make some more since I have tons of copper wire and they are fun to make. The morrisonite piece is soldered and wire wrapped. Lapis pietersite morrisonite Thanks for looking

All your cabs are so pretty, I always look forward to seeing them! The morrisonite is my favorite of these, the simple wrap looks really elegant.

Your work is beautiful! The cabs are always artfully done and expertly wrapped. Definitely eye candy! My favorite in this group is the pietersite.

That last one is intriguing and awesome. what is the difficulty level of the smithing on that one?

Those are all beautiful. I especially like the simplicity of the morrisonite. I never considered copper with lapis but am rethinking it especially with the patina.

Gorgeous wraps and cabs, rockjunquie! I love your wraps of copper wire that you have been using lately. Awesome work on the wrap/solder Morrisonite cab! Hope to see more like it, too!

Thanks y'all! For the record, I only cabbed the morrisonite of this bunch. I buy cabs I like as well as cab myself. Drummond Island Rocks, I have soldering tools, so I soldered this. However, something like this is easy to do with FUSING. You use argentium silver and heat them, without solder and flux, to cause them to melt together. (youtube is your friend) It is really easy to do and would save you a lot of trouble for easy jobs like this one. My prong wires were argentium. If the frame wires were, I would have fused- quicker, easier.

so beautiful! your creativity knows no bounds. The copper adds such character and depth. Neat design on the silver piece, too, but that copper melts my heart. I always look forward to your posts.
