That blue biggs is outstanding! I'm not a cabber, so I see one heck of a display piece. Probably pretty expensive stuff and someone could chop it up and make more money with individual cabs. Would love to have a slab like that in one of my display cases.
ETA: what's a ballpark on what a slab like that goes for?

Wow I finally know something about Roy and all you guys pic jasper!!! The Deer Sky is mined by a dude named Neal Schornack. Might be spelled wrong. He is s great artist. Probably the best picture stone cab maker I have seen! He can really find the scenes in a slab and cab and silver smith it so good too! The Deer Sky is a very small claim in the Owyhees. It's in the same area as the Windy Ridge and Cripple Creek claims. He will sell you some, visit his eebsite. The old site is Bluegemowhyee and I think he has a new site for the Deer Sky. He also has dome Coyote Ridge pic jasper that is a small claim. Some mines are bigger than football fields in the Owhyee mountains and some are as small as a wheel barrow. Neal will also trade with you. Better contact him soon because once he heads out to mine and prospect he can't ship stuff because he isn't home. Plus communications in the Owhyee is bad. I have some Deer Sky and Coyote Ridge that we traded on. Some of my Deer Sky is the sunset colors. Sorry can't do pictures.

Your friend Neal has some stunning material on his website orrum. Luckily for my Paypal account most of his larger highest quality pieces have been sold. Thanks for sharing the site, lots of sighing going on viewing his sold pieces.

Captn Bob I am lucky to also know Roy and Tiny because they really know the Owhyees and I got to hound there with them both last year. We visited 14 different sites!

the slabs are at 500.00 sold the end cut for 350.00 wow I'm sure material that beautiful is probably very rare and worth the price. But that's too steep for a display slab for me. It's a shame that someone is most likely going to cut it up. Hope you find a buyer that wants to keep it whole!
