My take on the groove wrap...more of a through wrap. I made this 1.5" long bead out of local river jasper, and drilled the whole wide enough to accommodate up to 4 20ga wires.

yep I like it too. you are bravery then me. I hate drilling and probably would not attempt drilling that depth. You gotta find a good original name like drill wrap or maybe bead wrap since there is no groove.

Thanks all, Now I need to know what to call it. It isn't really a wrap, but I followed Chuck's tutorial to make the bail. My first thought was 'through wrap', but 'drill wrap' is also neat. If one wants to get really cute, one could groove wrap something below the bead. There are so many design options!
BTW, How do you all get such nice photos? The flash reflected off the silver every time.

I never use a flash for any of my rock/jewelry photos. place the item in an area with sufficient light and maybe play with the exposure value on your camera a bit. My kitchen has the best lighting so when not using a light tent I do mine on the kitchen counter.

Great job!!! How about Focus Wrap? People call those big beads focus beads. I can see lots of possibilities! Nice way to think outside the box.
