Ugh. Don't do this, sports fans. My blue aventurines are badly bruised and will have to be backed up to the 120/220 step. However, the stones turned out to have great color and polish on their faces, so I *will* do them over to get the sides right. I made this mistake once before, years ago, with some Amethyst. It was too much water/too little small stuff, right? I fixed the Amethyst long ago so I know it wasn't too difficult to fix. Just took time...

Ole Jack Frost will get ya. Filler and me thickeners on that stuff. I just used clay as a thickener experiment on similar with 40% smalls. Got rid of Jack Frost. Ran for 6-7 weeks and no frost. Yeah !
sorry it happened. SiC 120/220 rerun should get rid of it. Congrats on the polished faces, that stuff is a tough one.
You may be able to hear rattling, a sign that jack is at work.
