Mt pleasure, Jim. Sorry the rest of you didn't care for the snakes. I personally think that they are amazing and intriguing creatures. And i don't mind rattlers if I'm aware of where they are.

Diggin' the photos! I've had reptiles my entire life. Had a boa constrictor that lived 32 years which is unheard of. This is the current bane of my existence. Mr Ted If you have ever thought of getting an iguana for yourself or your children - DON'T do it. To care for one properly, they are much higher maintenance than you might think and can live 20 years. While Mr. Ted (a rescue) may have won the iguana lottery, he's one of the top 5 mistakes in my life.

32 years for a common boa is pretty normal. It used to be unheard of, but now 30-50 years is common.

Guess I was going by "used to be" norms as in when I got him in 1970. Either way, he sure surprised me!

It seemed like maybe too much, when I researched it. Thanks for confirming it. handsome fella, though.

Like them all, but wouldn't like a hug from a boa.
Heard long ago you could tell a poisonous snake from others by the teeth. I'm not willing to check it out, so consider them all potentially dangerous. Would be easier if the poisonous snakes had P marking on top of head.
