Today I went to Open house for the California Raptor Center. It is at UC Davis, and run by the School of Veterinary Medicine. The Raptor center specializes in rescue and rehabilitation of injured raptors. Those which cannot be released to fend for themselves become permanent residents. Some become "taming birds," used for education at these open houses and at schools. Enjoy these beautiful birds:

Maybe this is a more palatable form of rodent control than snakes? ;-) Yes. i love the idea of the Center and the work they do.
