I think I'm supposed to know what this is but I forgot. Can anybody nudge my memory? It came in a geode looking nodule but this is what we found when we cut them in half:

It came from a random box from an estate, I think. So no telling really. I have more photos I'll post later. I've been using instagram for picture hosting and I didn't want too too many pix in my Instagram feed all at once because some of my followers are just into birds and/or music. So I'm adding the stone photos just a bit at a time. My stones are much nicer about posing than my birds!

Here are two nodules, each cut in half. Does that help any?

Hmmm, not to be a smart butt but those look like they belong on my saw!!! Those are very attractive. Can't believe no one knows what they are.

I'm thinking of just taking off a slab to hold back for myself and selling/swapping the rest but it would be nice to know a name to put on the offer. Ha. I'll think about it more on the weekend probably...

Guys, hold onto your hats because they're way more awesome slabbed! No reason they couldn't be thundereggs, I just didn't recognize them as such. But check out this slab we just made: There's a quite large area of completely transparent agate but otherwise an impressive pattern IMHO!
