In North Dakota,we had a bird feeder-but would go to our local grain elevator and fill my trk bed with spilled grain or whatever was laying on the ground, after the semi's loaded out. I had a bird feeder about 7 feet high to keep the varmints from eating the seed..Ground gophers were the worst and deer! Gophers I would pepper with my pellet rifle! They would leave for a few days, than come back and attack the seed again,"BOOM" again and the same thing over and over! One day,I seen one on the feeder and he wasn't eating the seed, just kicking it off the sides to the ground-"I thought that of being odd".. I looked on the ground and two gophers were on the ground stuffing their cheeks with seed and booking off! I started laughing and said to them "well if your that smart in planning something like that,I will let this day pass"... I let them go............

Stu short for Stupendous? LOL Nope. I'd put a 20 caliber pellet in his brain, skin and clean him, and put his carcass in the crock pot with some potatoes, onions, carrots and a nice red wine for a few hours. Chipmunk stew.

Wife would be glad to have the Sheridan insert lead. Why did you name him Stu ?

LOL. Might take a whole bunch of them. It would be nice if the skin is thinner than squirrel's.

If they are anything like a squirrel you can't push a fork into the gravy. The first one I ate was the last one I ate. I do not see a chipmonkey being any different. Probably easier to eat the bones. And no you won't convince me. hahaha Jim

I've had many squirrel stews. All were tender and delish. They key is to eat tree squirrels and crock pot all day.
