Hi Y'all. As many forum members are nice enough to buy from us I wanted to announce here we will be closed from June 2nd through about June 10th. We will be out of the country so likely not reachable by phone or e-mail and will either close website or post notices of week long delay to fill orders. Thanks.

Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out how a "free trip" to Ecuador can cost so much?

Have a nice trip, John. Guess "free" is not so free after all, after you figure in all your other expenses.

Yes, free airline tickets. Still have to pay for hotel there, hotel night before leaving LA to avoid morning drive and leave car there. Meals are cheap down there at least. Still trying to figure out why wife needs new wardrobe to go see people she has not seen in ten years. Her old clothes would be new to them. She is even trying to dress me up.

Eat some choclo and fried bananas for me. While you are at it have some good locro de papa (potato soup) with lots of cilantro, and oh yeah some llapingachos (potato pancakes). Tom

My wife is from Ecuador. We eat all that stuff regularly. We are going to a family reunion and won't have time to go to Quito. It is my wife's favorite place. "Next time".

Whoa! Glad I got my order in before you take off! Got the new Galaxy wheels today, and up and running.

My wife has been trying to get me to go for years. It is for a family reunion to celebrate her aunt's 100th birthday so we won't have much time to do the tourist things. It will be the first time I've closed the business for more than the weekend since we went full time in 2004. Depending on how it works out a trip to Spain to visit her sister with hopefully a stop in England to visit some of my relatives is in the plans for this Summer.

I've never been to Spain, but I kinda like the music... Always wanted to go to Spain and hope to before i become too decrepit. I have been to England a few times. Excellent place to drink beer and crawl Indian restaurants

Hope you're both enjoying Ecuador, I was there in 1990, and we got to spend some time way up in the Andes, which was really cool, and we loved Quito and some of the small towns we got to visit. Mitad Del Mindo was pretty memorable.
