It has been raining almost every day, have never had a spring this wet before.Luckily I've been able to get some fruits and veggies to eat. Have to give Scott credit for this. His pic of a Santa Rosa plum made my mouth water and I made an area for these. Planted in Jan.2014 Methley plum.Notice the bird netting.Had to put it over my fruit and berries. Thornless blackberries.Never realized the pleasure of picking berries and not getting stuck. Cucumbers on trellis. Some are 7 feet up now, will be picking over my head.Beats stooping. My Celebrity variety of tomatoes. Sweet 100 and Porters have taken over my beds in this part of the garden. Early Girl variety tomato. These were planted in last years rotted grass clippings. Dill around a peach tree I planted in January of this year. Love to play with my bamboo! These will be covered with various varieties of gourds, along with the cucumbers. Enough for now. Thanks for looking. snuffy

As if growing it all ain't enough, canning all that has got to be a chore! But definitely no comparison to the junk sold in stores, both in flavor and nutritional value.
Just yesterday got an email notice from my water district, notifying me of Governor Moonbeam's 20% mandatory water conservation at the consumer (residential) level. I have to wonder how big of a dent that will make in the problem?
Snuffy, beautiful garden!! I know how much work you put into it (even if you are having it watered by Mother Nature, lol). Always look forward to pics of your garden every year. Especially drooling over the Santa Rosa plums, had a tree growing at my parents house while growing up. None better!

Looks like a well thought out garden. I'm a bit jealous as my beans and peas are just barely starting to poke out of the soil. I put them in early too, it snowed just a couple weeks ago here in ND.
