Cool rocks. I like that orange and white one near the middle of the first two pictures.

Looks like a nice little piece of some kind of lace agate in the middle of the last picture there.
Edit: it also looks like you tumbled that last batch with english peas. What are those? Plastic pellets?

Plastic pellets? Yep, I use plastic pellets for filler after 220 and switch them out for every stage after. I love that lace too, I got really lucky with that one! it looks like it was preformed but it just tumbled that way.

Nice colors in your tumbles, and good to see you back on the forum, FLrockhound! I really like your chevron amethyst (?) tumbles. Thought that the beads were marbles. I'm glad that ringlord asked about them (English peas, lol).

Nice! Are they all local to your area?

Thank you gingerkid it feels good to be back and participating! Chevron/banded amethyst I see it used both ways. No, this batch is definitely not local to my area henry I have to order my rocks via therockshed if I don't want to tumble bland beach agates from Tampa Bay.

I took them out a day early but they already have nice luster to them after 500 grit. This a wet photo though after burnishing. Now onto Tripoli for a week or so.

Several nice yellow & white lace pieces in there that I didn't see in the earlier photos.
Also like the large red and yellow rectangular piece near the center. Reminds me of a caramel.
I seem to see food in a lot of these pictures: caramel, english peas... maybe I have a problem. lol

Lookin' good, FLrockhound! Do you use Tripoli polish (powder?) as a pre-polish?

gingerkid - yea I have always used Tripoli for prepolish on every tumble. ringlord - haha I would get that under control before you break some teeth from temptation.

Thank you, FLrockhound. What do you use for final polish?

gingerkid - I usually use aluminum oxide for the final polish. So far it's the only polish I have ever used and worked well for the harder rocks I've tumbled.
