Well, I just ordered a second Lortone 45C from The Rockshed, since I really love the one I have that's 40 years old. To me its an excellent tumbler. I also purchased a LOT-O 4lb capacity (i had two vibes in my shopping cart an i didnt realize i had removed the UV) which is perfect for the amount of rocks I process. It will only be used for the polishing stage until I get an extra bowl. I'm pretty excited I was able to order some new equipment an a lb of tin oxide this evening to expand my addiction.

Awesome! Nice additions to your shop for sure.
Gotta ask... why tin oxide? It's like 5 times more expensive than AO isn't it? I've read tin oxide excels when used with softer stones, and I had fantastic results using it on obsidian, but I thought you did mostly agates, jaspers and the like.
Can you put the bigger 10 pound bowl on your new vibe if you choose to?

I just wanted to stock up on different polishes an grits that I could have on hand if needed so I can start experimenting with rocks I've never tried to tumble. I'm not sure yet about putting the 10lb bowl on it. That's a good question, I'll have to look into it. That would be nice if I wanted polish a larger load.
