A neighbor asked me to do something with a rock he found as a gift for his wife. I rarely cut heart cabs, so struggled with this one on the 8 inch wheels I didn't want to bevel the top edges any more than absolutely necessary, so the bezel folds over at the tip and in the valley at the top. After looking at the pic, I clearly see an area to the right of the bail where I didn't snug the bezel very well It really isn't noticeable on the piece except in the pic and he can't gripe too much as I did it for him for free I also polished the back of the stone and cut out the silver mimicking the shape to show the sparkle in the polished surface not perfect by any means, but a very pretty piece of natural drusy material

That is pretty!
What is the stone? Is the bezel gallery wire? Beautiful!

Thanks all.
The stone came from Oklahoma or Kansas and all I know is that is druzy material of some kind. The host stone is relatively soft and the sparkle goes all the way through and looks kind of like mica.
The bezel is indeed gallery wire. The way I make the sterling backing to use in the gallery wire is quite tedious. When I first tried this style bezel, I soldered the bezel directly onto the backing. In filing down the edges around the bezel, I found one can't keep from removing detail from the wire no matter how careful you are. I now shape the bezel, solder it together, make a final fitting to the stone and set the bezel on 22 ga silver sheet. I use an ultra fine tip sharpie to trace the shape onto the sheet from inside the bezel and cut the shape with the saw allowing a wee bit of extra room in case of a slip in the marking stage. I then meticulously shape the backing to fit exactly inside the bezel and solder it in, then lay it on a large, flat file and make the join disappear. On this piece I also made a cutout in the backing duplicating the shape of the heart
