Howdy folks, Cut for a long time yesterday while I cut weeds. Finished yesterdays rock but my battery died before I got more pics. Here's a pic of the one I did get photographed. Got six identical slabs of this one as I kept hoping it would get better. Was more poppy on the exterior and not as nice inside. Stayed the same all the way through the rock...Mel

I like it. Incredible color! Maybe your standards have become more demanding as you have the opportunity to cut so many exceptional rocks. This one is still very cool and "POPS" in my book.
I would like to see how you are securing these rounded stones in your saw vise. I'm quite used to cutting rough material, but these round ones still scare me. I'm sure my shiny new saw has a lot to do with it, last thing I need is a rock slipping out of the vise.

Bob, I'll see if I can take a pic, but I warn you, my saw is covered with sludge and totally disgusting. My vice is just one of those simple two screw, two plate vertical vices. I use very soft shim wood against the lower hardwood plate and it holds even rounded rocks very tight. Now my old big 20 inch saw had the HP horizontal vice and that one was a booger to get to hold rounded rocks. Had to use multiple wood blocks and shims....Mel
