Chuck, Little Girls Point is a part of the Gogebic County Park System in Michigan. They do have camping spots available. It is probably 10-15 miles north of the WI border. Your GoogleFu is right on. If you type in Little Girls Point in Yahoo and look at the Image Results, they are all of Little Girls Point. It's definitely a rock beach. So I want to know the rest of the story.....i.e. How did it get the name Little Girls Point. Must be a story there. Maybe a school was there?

Folklore on how Little Girls Point got it's name Thank you for the link! Interesting reading. As usual, hard to separate the fact from the legend. I do think it funny that a Chippewa Indian spoke and was spoken to by the spirit in words that rhyme so nicely in English. I think that may be what is called Anglocentric, LOL
