I admired some of his latest finds and he graciously sent me a box of goodies. There are wonderful things here, and I don't have a clue except that they are agates and jaspers. Maybe we can get names for a few, but even without, these are beautiful things to behold!

cool variety of stuff. I'll guess that the pink rectangle is rhodonite and your quartz ? is sagenite. I would like to know what that last one is. maybe a rhyolite?

He says the green and purple is a jasper, he sent me a polished/cabbed piece too, and it is hard and shiny throughout, just beautiful. Wish my camera could take better close ups, I tried to get several of the other pieces too, all really beautiful!

your very welcome snowmom..i plan another trip to stoney creek next month and will look for more of the purple stufif you want more...there were conglomerates everywhere also some where real cool, nothing like the puddingstone. i see some graveyard point,some copolite, moss agate from ashland oreg. fancey jaspers from black rock i believe. quartz with tourmoline a new dig for us. picture jasper. green i forgot i'm thinking serpentine family..the rest is from stoney..
