Howdy folks, Well, just got back from doing children's play day here on the ranch. Must've given the little'uns dozens of pony rides. Anyway, my dogs are so tired from leading horses round that pasture that I ain't got much energy for doing anything except posting some pics of the Rio I cut yesterday. This is a wild one I had set aside and I really lucked out cutting it as on my last cut of six, the rock flat exploded in the vice when the blade hit a bad fracture in the stone. Fortunately, I was right there and the blade sustained no damage. Anyway, enough of my jabbering. Here are some pics. Please excuse the slight overexposure. Didn't have sun in my photo area so the colors are much duller than they actually are. This agate is a hard one to categorize but I guess it's sort of a flower garden type....Mel All six cuts: Colors are blue, white, olive green red, yellow and orange, a real rainbow.
