I thought I would post a couple pics before I probably destroy these in a rotary tumbler I had gotten some slag glass slabs from Snuffy that I absolutely loved and made some hearts that came out very cool So I went online and found some art glass slabs and bought some sample "slabs" from Kokomo art glass They were like a $1.00 a piece- 2x3 inches but only 1/8 inch thick I cut a bunch into what else? - Heart shapes I threw them in the loto for a day and they smoothed but didn't really round up much like they do in a rotary I need them to shape more to take out my imperfections so I just threw them in my rotary They are really thin so I doubt they survive but we'll see Here are 2 pics to document them before I trash them Ha Bill

Glue them together with E6000 glue and they will be stronger. The outside rounds. Then put under light to heat and separate. Then clean em up and back in the Loto.

When I started cutting slabs that's all I would make. My wife said I think you have enough, so I stopped making them. I think I will have to go make a boat load this weekend. After all I never listen any other time to her. Good thing she does not read my post.

I like They look very nice to me. If they are so thin, could they be used for guitar picks? I'm really ignorant on the subject. I was wondering because my grandson has picked up the guitar and I want to make picks. (Don't mind me, I'm just thinking out loud. Think I'll start another thread.)

Not to worry about the broken heart...we all have been there at some point in our lives...
Rockjunquie: My two sons, who play in a band both say that rock guitar picks are too stiff for their liking, thus the nylon or plastic. I am sure that others like the stiffness of a rock (guitar) pick.

My dad plays guitar. He likes rock picks because to him they have a more buzz ring type note. I read somewhere the bass guitar players really like them. I gave him rose quartz ones and they chipped. Made some from Snuffy bazillion and they are hanging in there. You want the first third to be very shiny but the last two thirds need to be not shiny so they can hold on to the pick. Hope that helps
