I installed my 14" mk303 blade. I can't tell you how much I hate the Covington vice. All the nodules are very oddly shaped and I had a lot of difficulty making cuts just to be able to better the secure the rock. I had some slippage but no damage to the blade. Sorry for the out of focus pictures. Cut shows color. Nice pattern. Fractured on face. I hope fractures go away. Crystal is in about half of nodule. Lots of dendrites.

I used my trim saw to square off some ends. Here is the face cut of the piece from the previous last picture. I was able to cut both ends of this nodule, but will probably get about 10 slabs of the sme orientation. Here's a slab I cut from the heel using my trim saw. I used the trim saw to cut the other end from the first nodule posted in the start of the thread. I like the orientation so I will continue cutting this way. end cut off another nodule

I've got most of it faced. I can't make any more cuts using the Covington vice. The guy I bought the Montana from said to do a good job of degreasing and cleaning before gluing to boards. I haven't made up my mind to use wood glue or Sodium Silicate. Tomorrow, I'll clean and glue and start slabbing on Sunday with the pieces glued with Sodium Silicate. I have at least 50 slabs to cut to start with.
