My very good buddy Nick brought me this awesome wedding present! His parents moved recently from Texas back to the MidWest and his Dad had several specimens of things collected through the years. Unfortunately, neither he nor I have any idea where this piece of petrified wood was found. I finally got around to cutting the end off to see what lay inside.

The original specimen as found:

I was not disappointed upon cutting!!
