My very good buddy Nick brought me this awesome wedding present! His parents moved recently from Texas back to the MidWest and his Dad had several specimens of things collected through the years. Unfortunately, neither he nor I have any idea where this piece of petrified wood was found. I finally got around to cutting the end off to see what lay inside. The original specimen as found: I was not disappointed upon cutting!! You know who your true friends are when they know what the best gift for you is!! Cheers! ~Roland

beautiful! very display worthy, a nice reminder of friendship! perhaps somebody here will recognize the type of wood and be able to shed some light on where it came from.
