This thread has been amusing to read but I think its emphasis is misplaced. The campaign to eliminate the American flag has already begun. Just because the following quote comes from freaky Farrakhan I think it should be taken serio0usly. Avalanches begin from a single rock rolling downhill and I fully expect this meme will spread quickly to all the usual suspects. "Farrakhan then took aim at the American flag. “I don’t know what the hell the fight is about over the Confederate flag! We need to put the American flag down because we’ve caught as much hell under that as the Confederate flag!” he said. “Who are we fighting today? It’s the people that carry the American flag,” Farrakhan continued. “What flag do the police have? What flag flies over the non-Justice Department? What flag flies over the White House?” The Nation of Islam leader said that taking the Confederate flag is “easy,” but not enough. I would imagine Farrakhan's agenda is modern day issues and those with most impact. He can score much more attention by attacking the US flag. Victory accomplished on the confederate flag for his agenda. After all, what good is a flag if no one pays attention to it. Same applies to Farrakan. He is just a militant, and is treated and viewed accordingly. At least Martin Luther represented fairness, Sharpton, Farrakan, Jackson and the rest of that lot laughable. Their militant approach is just that, in the eyes of mainstream.

Now James, are you trying to stir things up here. lol I have a feeling that Bob is going to be pissed that his hammers and sickles are not scrunched together closer so you could get more on. Jim
Edited to say: Not sure where the blow up doll comes in though amygdule unless maybe you are having wife problems or are talking about a male blow up doll.
Just want to make sure all is clear here and no misunderstandings.

I think that playing with my pet rocks is more fun than arguing about divisive politics. Get tired of your pet rocks? Enjoy your sh*tstorm. That flag may be enjoyed by homos and commies, but it's an insult to the Saint Andrew's Cross.

You gonna define "petty differences" or need we wait for an odd numbered day?

For once you are right Bob. We have no petty differences but I was talking about the USA group as a whole.
I could never sit down with a self righteous, bigot, drunk driving fool and try to accomplish anything meaningful.
I keep harping on this but ya'll are just too damn thick headed. Gay people did not choose to be gay any more than ya'll chose to be straight. And because they are different they are scum of the earth and should hide under a rock with no rights and definitely not happy, heaven forbid that.
All men are created equal in the eyes of the Lord. I wonder where that saying came from? And the women? They are different and inferior so they should hide under that rock until the men drag them out and poke fun at them?
Ya'll say that we are a laughing stock of the world because the white house was lit up like a rainbow. You are a lying ass. It is the cause even though we are way down the line of countries with gay marriage. Lets do a switch to prove it. Lets say the rainbow stands for leukemia which is more or less a child's disease and kids do love rainbows. So we light up the white house for more awareness of the cancer. WooHoo, way to go white house. But wait a minute, it is a symbol of those degenerate pigs, the gays, so no WooHoos this time. IT IS THE CAUSE AND NOT THE COLORS THAT YOU HATE. People that are different than you but so alike that you are damn lucky you are not one of them. Bob the gay activist, we would have had gay marriage legal many years ago.
And we are not the laughing stock of the planet. We are the hated of the planet because we keep messing with everyone's business all the time and end up killing a large number of innocent people or putting a dictator in charge. We are our own worst enemy. And this tickles the hell out of me. The people of this country are sick and tired of war and all of the wounded and dead soldiers BUT Obama has no balls because he is trying to negotiate with Iran. So, what? go to war again? Nuke another bunch of innocent people?
Ya make me sick so ya gunna hafta play with yousef from now on. I do not watch TV for about the same reason. Jim

Just wish all the copy & paste stuff didn't take so long. "We have no petty differences but I was talking about the USA group as a whole."Okay, go with that then. What are the "petty differences" that "the USA group as a whole" are divided over? I'm still waiting to hear what you consider "petty differences". "I could never sit down with a self righteous, bigot, drunk driving fool and try to accomplish anything meaningful."Not that I could possibly care any less about your opinion (on anything), but is this supposed to be some sort of insinuation about me? Just want to be clear about that. "I keep harping on this but ya'll are just too damn thick headed. Gay people did not choose to be gay any more than ya'll chose to be straight."You get that from the same folks you get the global warming information from? I will grant that there may be a small percent that are born "that way". But, I contend that for most it is a choice. Same as I can choose to prefer blondes over redheads (not that I do), I could choose to have a relationship with a male rather than with a woman (not that I would). Maybe it is easier for some people to deal with members of the same sex. Easier to understand, easier to please, easier however. Those people may choose to have such relationships. They choose this - they were not "born that way". Prove that simple hypothesis wrong or STFU about "gay people did not choose to be gay". Remember this where you called being homosexual an "illness"? Do all of the regressives really think that the (homos) gays had a choice in the matter and one day just decided "jeeze, I think I will be gay just to be different"? Many and maybe most try to cover it up since their illness is very embarrassing to them because of people who look at them like they have leprosy " And because they are different they are scum of the earth and should hide under a rock with no rights and definitely not happy, heaven forbid that." WHERE did ANYONE here say anything even remotely close to this? I have said that I really don't give two figs about homos or what homos do. I DO care about their endlessly pushing their ways on folks that don't approve of their lifestyle choices. If someone chooses not to bake them a cake - get the hell over it. There are other bakers. Have a homosexual go to a muslim baker and try to get a cake for their wedding. You'll never see that outcome on the evening news! "All men are created equal in the eyes of the Lord. I wonder where that saying came from? And the women? They are different and inferior so they should hide under that rock until the men drag them out and poke fun at them?"More typical nonsensical gibberish. The word "men" isn't gender specific in such a case, and most intelligent people are aware of that. Kind of like the huMAN race. Not worth the typing, you research it, you'll figure it out. "Ya'll say that we are a laughing stock of the world because the white house was lit up like a rainbow. You are a lying ass. It is the cause even though we are way down the line of countries with gay marriage. Lets do a switch to prove it. Lets say the rainbow stands for leukemia which is more or less a child's disease and kids do love rainbows. So we light up the white house for more awareness of the cancer. People that are different than you but so alike that you are damn lucky you are not one of them. Bob the gay activist, we would have had gay marriage legal many years ago."Now I'm a "lying ass" as well? Golly, people may start to think (more) poorly of me if going on your perspective. *sniffle* You seem to carry a lot of animosity around. Is it the drugs? MY opinion on the rainbow colored White House is that such an illumination was specifically done to be in the face of those opposed to the ruling from the SCOTUS that day. THERE is your "divide, divide, divide" that you so quack about. obama and his administration have done more to divide this country in a short time than any other group ever. What I do "HATE" is that the homosexual "cause" has so besmirched the beauty, innocence and Promise of a rainbow. Gotta give this a separate comment: " People that are different than you but so alike that you are damn lucky you are not one of them." Were I, it would have been my CHOICE. "And we are not the laughing stock of the planet. Nuke another bunch of innocent people?"Yeah, yeah... we get it, you're anti-business and whatever. Don't care... About the obama "trying to negotiate with Iran" part. WHAT negotiating would that be? What did WE get??? How about rephrasing that to: obama giving Iran everything they want, and getting no concessions in return simply for the purposes of legacy. That's a bit more accurate. Oh, and what bunch of "innocent" people have been previously nuked? (THIS outta be good...) "Ya make me sick so ya gunna hafta play with yousef from now on."Buh Bye (NOT holding my breath!) "I do not watch TV for about the same reason."And here I would have guessed that it was the big words they use. What else ya got?

All men are created equal in the eyes of the Lord. I wonder where that saying came from? A fallible man? [/quot Police: Woman committed battery with dildoA St. Petersburg woman, Annette Kielhurn, 57, was charged with domestic battery after she shoved a dildo in her live-in girlfriend’s face in front of an officer, law enforcement says. Officers arrived at their home because Kielhurn's girlfriend called them to stand by while she moved out her belongings, police said. Arguing over the ownership of a dress, Kielhurn shoved the dildo in her girlfriend’s face and grabbed her arm, leading to Kielhurn's arrest. We blame the dildo - a penis-shaped symbol of male oppression and misogyny. Domestic battery with a dildo is only an appropriate representation of systemic injustice and gender inequality in backward America, a nation populated by conformists unable to challenge their assigned gender roles and complacently satisfying their romantic, sexual, and emotional needs based solely on what society expects of them. If anything, this "battery" by a female "wife-beater" was an act of conceptual art that should be re-enacted in theaters, galleries, and school plays nationwide, to better educate the population about the current truth of gender relations. www.abcactionnews.com/news/region-pinellas/police-woman-committed-battery-with-dildo

Back (again) to the topic... NAACP Wants Confederate Symbols Taken off Georgia Propertyabcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/naacp-confederate-symbols-off-georgia-property-32449264The president of the Atlanta NAACP says the group wants Confederate symbols — including a giant carving at Stone Mountain Park — removed from all government-owned property and plans to pursue making those changes during the next legislative session.
Some who support flying the battle flag say the symbol represents Southern heritage and pride in Civil War-era leaders. However, Atlanta NAACP President Richard Rose and others have argued the flag is a divisive symbol and white supremacy is at the heart of the heritage the flag celebrates.... Although the park is state property, it doesn't receive state funding and operates by using entrance fees and other income the park generates, Bankhead said. Any changes at the park would also require approval from the Georgia General Assembly, he said.
Although the carving may be one of the most recognizable tributes to the Confederacy in the metro Atlanta area, the Atlanta NAACP's call to remove the flag and memorials from state property extends beyond that to all state property and land, Rose said.
"We'll be making a list... ... Making a list. Of course they are. Bet it doesn't end with Confederate themed items either.

There was a flag stolen at Stone Mountain that had to be replaced. www.wsbtv.com/ap/ap/georgia/missing-confederate-flag-at-ga-park-replaced/nmw2F/

The Confederate Flag is used by hate groups unfortunately. They have caused the flag a lot of damage. Some of the boys in my hood that fly the flag are rough characters. Uh, people likely with malicious intent. Many that hang on to the bitterness of the loss of the Civil War. I stay away from them, they are nothing but trouble. Most of them ex-cons and thieves, I know who these guys are and offenses they have committed. Funny, our own southern people probably killed the flag in actuality, KKK, hate mongers, racists etc.
Funny too, the(southern) blacks have a much higher percentage of white haters IMO. If they had a flag the whites would never attack it. Black felonous crimes against whites way out weigh white felonous crimes against blacks, go figure. Oppression is hard to measure or prove, a very political and subversive maneuver. But the prisons are mostly populated w/black people. It is a strange arrangement, the black/white relationship in the south.
I live in an area of fairly well to do blacks mostly from Calif. and NE US, they are very balanced and cool people. They avoid many southern blacks, they are just not into their mentality. Quite sensible and fair. By the same token, I have had southern black friends that would probably kill for me. Many are very dear people. It is the extremist of both colors that have caused the problems.
You have to live in the south to witness a lot of this matter. To see it. Atlanta and Fulton county is essentially operated by a black govt. They have a lot of political pull. Might be considered a test ground for things to come. This is where the Confederate Flag initially got beat down. The flag was only one issue, many others not so publicized. Granting of government contracts for instance.
To be honest, things have run smoother than I would have imagined. You know, we see the the marches for Trayvon, the rejoicing of O.J. trial/election of Obama/ the white guy that got his head smashed in the LA riot, etc etc. Open and organized rejoice for injustice against whites. And include people you thought were civilized turn into radical frenzy. There is still a great deal of bitterness. And watch where you step around here.
By the same token, I have seen a good ole southern boy walk into a store full of black folks and cuss them all out single handedly add the 'n' word. Brave or stupid, not sure which. Old bitterness still alive and well.
The issue with the Confederate Flag is black and white. Here in Georgia anyway. It will go down as a victory in their eyes no doubt. Win some lose some.

I've always contended it ain't the color of a person's skin but rather the quality of their character that counts. Bad actors come in all colors, as do good. Unfortunate that a few bad actors have stained the Confederate battle flag but freedom of speech is guaranteed as is anyone's right to fly that flag no matter what they think it stands for. To diminish it's importance to those who died for their "separate nation" in the Civil War, in the name of some kind of political correctness, is just flat out dishonorable and should not be allowed.....Mel

Ill effect of freedom. Damn right I have disdain for the hate mongers flying the flag, I have relatives that died in that war. Was a child when I understood the impact these people were having on the Confederate Flag. But old enough to know better. A no win. Great synopsis Mel.

Recall the time when I lived in Florida Went into an ACE hardware store for a faucet part for the sink Conferring with the stock hand, a big bearded white fellow the conversation started going wonky He called me a damn yankee. I was really confused. Had no idea where that came from or in what context it meant? I said something stupid like no I’m from the Sonoran desert. His reply was your still a damn yankee. It was first time I had been discriminated again... mostly
