First pic looks like prairie agate. Prairie agate is the state rock in Nebraska. Second picture may have some petrified wood in it.

Love to see a couple of those cut open, the weathered exterior may be hiding some real beauty within!

We will have to wait to saw them. We are full time in a motorhome and have no saw. We will be near a saw in late July.

What part of Nebraska were you in ? In the north west corner you can find the Nebraska blue agate, and if you're lucky a Fairburn or 2. From there like Bob says, head north young man. South west corner of South Dakota is Fairburn country. But watch where you step or put your hands. It's also rattle snake country. Those buzztails protect their Fairburns.

I forgot that Jake, I didn't find any Fsirburn, bought some the last two years in Nebraska etc but I did find a chunk of Nebraska blue. Did it the old fashioned way.... walked my butt off, dug through half a dozen beds, broke rocks, cussed rocks, threw rocks, peed on rocks, sweated mud, got caliche all over me and my truck. Told Susan to pack up and let's quit, while she climbed up to the truck I sat down on a realitively dry rock bed at the top of the hill and picked up a muddy ugly rock and started banging it with another muddy nasty rock and the one I was using as a hammer to relieve my frustration broke in half..... Yep you guessed right....Nebraska Blue!!!! You ain't gotta be good if you are lucky!!! LOL

We were in northwest Nebraska. No blues. Southwest S. Dakota doesn't want to give up the Fairbuens also. We went to carhenge. No that's different!

Good agate and better petrified wood, done great with your haul. Keep collecting, and make some good money too.
