I had a customer order a Fordite pendant on Etsy last night and then realized she sent me a message requesting a set of earrings if I was able to do them. This reminded me of a plaque that hangs on my wall in my office that says "when a customer asks if you can do something you say YES then you get busy figuring out how to do it" There were a couple hurdles to overcome like needing the bail turned 90 degrees and needing a single wire bail but for a first attempt I was pleased. Question: how thick do slabs need to be for you to do a groove wrap?

Question: how thick do slabs need to be for you to do a groove wrap? I prefer a full 1/4" and even then these all have a little less dome then my normal cabs. I always try to cut my grooves first then draw my girdle line and what ever is left over becomes the dome. Chuck |

very nice. Now I expect to see earrings among your regular offerings, You may be surprised at how well they sell. Most women only have a few pendants, but most of us have loads of earrings!

Beautiful set! Ear-rings are more demanding than pendants and you made them perfectly.
