Does anyone have experience turning an AR-2 Tumbler into a Model B? I know the motors are the same size and was wondering how difficult it would be to do. I have access to a welder if need be.
Thanks, Matt

Smaller motor on the AR-2. Don't know that it would turn 15 pounds. Even the AR-12 has the smaller motor.
The width of the AR-2 is much narrower than needed for the large Model B barrel. Even if you were to Macgyver a new stand, the base isn't wide enough. The AR-12 uses the same base as the model B, so the Model B barrel could fit on the AR-12 - but as I wrote, smaller motor.

The B has a larger motor and frame is wider. The rollers are different too. The B model (except really old ones) has holes to convert B to AR2 but not the other way around. When I sold Thumlers I sold a lot of B models and AR2 conversion kits.
