Glad to find this community of rockhounds! I've been picking up stones my whole life. My husband bought me a tumbler after I brought home several pounds of stones from Lake Superior. It has been a fun experience, but I don't have the patience it takes to properly tumble stones. I'm taking a lapidary class, and now I'm hooked on cutting, shaping, and polishing my rocks. I've been wire wrapping for a while, and now I'm excited to learn how to make my own metal bezels.
I'm hoping to learn from the members, share my discoveries and progress with them, and make some friends along the way.

Hi, welcome from Alpena. We have several Michigan members here and lots of people willing to give advice. I love collecting and polishing Lake Superior stones!
