This was a specimen I got from a rock shop in Taos last weekend. It's about 4"x9". They had another slightly larger one for not much more, but this one had the larger botyroidal shapes and I liked it a lot. I'm trying to use white from my monitor to light this, it is fairly close in color, maybe a touch more green. Purchased from these folks: Taos Gems and Minerals 637 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur Taos, NM (575) 758-3910 While I was there I also bought some pretty tumbled aquamarines just for fun.

Whew John! You weren't kidding, that chrysocolla is a killer! And just in time for my birthday! Hah! So we should start talking about a rockhounding expedition to Africa... ~Roland

Holy smokes, that is one gorgeous specimen of chrysocolla, herchenx! The natives probably played their Congo drums when it was found. Love it! Very nice color of the aqua tumbles, too!! Do you know if they were treated before tumbling, John?
