Spotted and picked this up when I was looking for the other stone. Is this common for hardened sandstone to create? First time I have seen it like this, instead of like a picture jasper.

That is sure neat, a keeper. I should really pay attention to other types of stones when walking the creeks.

Would the layers in a sedimentary rock be considered fortification lines?

Would the layers in a sedimentary rock be considered fortification lines? Exactly...The sedimentary lines look a lot like fortification lines in agate is what I meant. Kinda cool I thought, I dont come across them looking like that very often.
