Do as your heart contends, it's massive, so it couldn't hurt to cut out a slab or two. It's 81 lbs. Couldn't hurt to lose some weight. haha

Beautiful piece, but it doesn't look like Happy Camp material. More like B.C.Nephrite or possibly Alaskan nephrite. Bob

Years ago my dad and I found a rather large boulder of nephrite in Indian Creek but it had no rind due to rolling around in the creek for eons. It was a much darker and very uninteresting dull green. Bob

You and a few others were right on it is not Happy Camp Jade..i took it to a jade expert and it is Nephrite Jade...

Congratulations again. Nice score. It is a beautiful piece. Incidentally, the reason for the swirls is iron-content. Nephrite has a formula of Ca2(Mg,Fe)5Si8O22(OH)2. You can see the iron:magnesium content is variable. The more iron is has, the darker it is. White jade is all magnesium and no iron. "Black" jade (which is actually very dark green) is all iron and no magnesium. Shades of green are in-between.
